The final American event of the VGC 2016 season was held as 396 players traveled to compete at the 2016 U.S. Nationals in Columbus, Ohio on July 1-3, 2016! Players battled through 9 Swiss Rounds where those who finished with two or fewer losses advanced to Day 2. Players on Day 2 battled through 6 additional Swiss Rounds where those who finished with two or fewer losses advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner!
The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) was in Columbus to broadcast the event with Ray Rizzo, Duy Ha, Evan Latt, and Aaron Zheng as casters.
