The first VGC 2022 Latin American Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Regional and the first played in Series 12 took place as 53 players traveled to compete at the 2022 Santiago, Chile Regional on June 4, 2022! Players battled through 6 Swiss Rounds where the top 8 players advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner!

Chilean player Javiér Valdes streamed this Regional on his Twitch channel and was a caster alongside Sergio Scabbiolo.
