These are the event results from the Pokémon VGC 2023 Season! This page will include tournament information and results from Regionals, Special Events, and Internationals during the 2023 season! The 2023 season will be played first via Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, creating some exciting Pokémon VGC action in the Paldea region. These events will take place in those games.
VGC 2023 Ruleset
For the London Open, players battled using the Series 12 ruleset played at the World Championships! The following formats played during the VGC 2023 season starting in January 2023, played on Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Check this page for more information regarding the VGC 2023 season ruleset.
- Regulation Set A (December 2, 2022 – January 31, 2023) – Allows all Pokémon native to the Paldea Region but bans the Paradox Pokémon, Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, Koraidon, and Miraidon from use.
- Regulation Set B (February 1, 2023 – March 31, 2023) – Allows all Pokémon native to the Paldea Region but bans Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, Koraidon, and Miraidon from use.
- Regulation Set C (April 1, 2023 – June 30, 2023) – Allows all Pokémon native to the Paldea Region but bans Koraidon, Miraidon, Walking Wake, and Iron Leaves from use.
- Regulation Set D (July 1, 2023 - September 30, 2023) – Allows Pokémon native to the Paldea Region and newly added Pokémon from Pokémon HOME but bans Mewtwo, Mew, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Meloetta, Battle Bond Greninja, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magearna, Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus, Zarude, Calyrex, Koraidon, Miraidon, Walking Wake, and Iron Leaves from use.
