Pokémon VGC 2024 Japan National

The most important Japanese event of the 2024 season took place as 64 qualified players traveled to compete at the 2024 Japan National in Yokohama, Japan on June 1-2, 2024! To qualify for the Japan National, players had to finish in the top 150 in one of the three Global Challenges. Players who finished in the top 150 advanced to a second online tournament where the Top 64 players earned an invite to this live event and a Tier 3 Worlds invite. 

Players who finished top 4 earned both a Round 1 bye and Travel Award, players who finished 5-8th earned a Round 1 bye, and players who finished 9-32nd earned an original cap and t-shirt. Players battled in a double-elimination bracket where up until Top 8, all matches were closed teamsheet best of 1 and starting in top 8, all matches were opened team sheet best of 3.
